AI governance concerns people across legal traditions, cultures and developmental circumstances. Universality means shared human interests, with meaningful room for those differences. At AI Policy LUB, we ask whether international participation gives communities real influence over the decisions that affect them. Africa and the Global South are central to that inquiry. A universal framework should be examined for whose knowledge it reflects, whose interests it serves, and whose voice is missing. Our mission is to support careful, inclusive dialogue about those questions.
